Business Listing Rules

1. PURPOSE

These Business Listing Rules (“Rules”) establish the requirements for creating, publishing, maintaining, and promoting business, project, product, service, and investment-related listings on Damascus Projects (“Damascus Projects,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Damascus Projects is an introduction and matchmaking platform that allows business owners, entrepreneurs, project owners, investors, and other eligible users to discover and connect with one another.

These Rules are intended to:

  • protect users from misleading or fraudulent business information;
  • promote accurate and transparent business presentations;
  • establish minimum standards for business listings;
  • protect investors and other users from deceptive claims;
  • maintain the quality and credibility of the platform;
  • prevent misuse of the platform; and
  • support a safe environment for legitimate business opportunities.

By creating or publishing a business listing, you agree to comply with these Rules, our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, and all other applicable Damascus Projects policies.

2. WHO MAY CREATE A BUSINESS LISTING?

Eligible users may create listings for legitimate:

  • businesses;
  • startups;
  • companies;
  • projects;
  • products;
  • services;
  • business ideas;
  • social enterprises;
  • franchises;
  • partnerships;
  • expansion opportunities; or
  • other legitimate commercial opportunities permitted by Damascus Projects.

Damascus Projects may impose additional eligibility or verification requirements for particular categories of listings.

3. YOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIST THE BUSINESS

You must have the legal authority or appropriate permission to represent the business, project, product, service, or opportunity you list.

You must not create a listing on behalf of another person or organization without authorization.

If you are acting as an authorized representative, agent, employee, consultant, or other representative, you must accurately identify your relationship with the business.

You must not falsely claim to be:

  • the owner;
  • founder;
  • director;
  • employee;
  • authorized agent;
  • investor;
  • representative; or
  • official partner

of any person or organization.

4. ACCURATE BUSINESS INFORMATION

All information contained in a listing must be truthful, accurate, current, and not materially misleading.

This includes, where applicable:

  • business name;
  • business description;
  • business location;
  • ownership information;
  • industry;
  • products and services;
  • years of operation;
  • revenue claims;
  • customer numbers;
  • market information;
  • financial information;
  • business valuation;
  • funding requirements;
  • previous funding;
  • use of funds;
  • business performance;
  • intellectual property claims;
  • licenses and certifications;
  • partnerships;
  • awards;
  • contracts;
  • employment numbers;
  • expansion plans; and
  • investment or partnership proposals.

You must promptly update information that becomes materially inaccurate.

5. NO FALSE OR MISLEADING CLAIMS

You must not publish claims that are false, fabricated, deceptive, exaggerated in a materially misleading manner, or unsupported by reasonable evidence.

Examples include:

  • inventing revenue figures;
  • claiming to have customers you do not have;
  • falsely claiming that a famous company is your customer;
  • falsely claiming government approval;
  • falsely claiming regulatory authorization;
  • claiming that an investor has committed funds when they have not;
  • claiming that a business is profitable when it is not;
  • presenting projections as guaranteed results;
  • fabricating contracts;
  • fabricating certificates;
  • using fake testimonials; or
  • falsely claiming that Damascus Projects has endorsed your business.

6. BUSINESS OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR LISTINGS

You are responsible for the information you publish.

Damascus Projects provides the platform through which users may present and discover opportunities. Publishing a listing does not transfer responsibility for the listing to Damascus Projects.

You remain responsible for:

  • the accuracy of your information;
  • the legality of your business;
  • your representations to other users;
  • your compliance with applicable laws;
  • the documents and materials you upload; and
  • transactions or agreements you independently enter into with other users.

7. INVESTMENT-RELATED LISTINGS

If you are seeking investment, your listing must clearly and honestly explain what you are seeking.

Where applicable, you should disclose:

  • the amount of funding sought;
  • the purpose of the funding;
  • the proposed structure of the transaction;
  • whether you are offering equity, debt, revenue sharing, partnership, or another arrangement;
  • the stage of the business;
  • relevant financial information;
  • material risks; and
  • other information reasonably necessary for potential investors to understand the opportunity.

You must not describe an investment as risk-free or guaranteed.

You must not promise investors a guaranteed return unless such a statement is legally accurate and appropriately supported.

8. NO GUARANTEED RETURNS

Listings must not promise guaranteed financial returns merely to attract investors.

Prohibited examples include claims such as:

  • “Guaranteed 100% return.”
  • “Zero-risk investment.”
  • “Guaranteed monthly profit.”
  • “You cannot lose money.”
  • “Government-guaranteed profit,” where this is not true.
  • “Damascus Projects guarantees your investment.”

Business owners may describe reasonable financial projections, but projections must be clearly identified as projections and must not be presented as guaranteed outcomes.

9. FINANCIAL INFORMATION

If you publish financial information, you must ensure that it is accurate and presented in a manner that is not misleading.

Where appropriate, clearly distinguish between:

  • historical results;
  • current results;
  • estimates;
  • forecasts;
  • projections;
  • requested funding; and
  • actual funds received.

Do not manipulate figures or deliberately omit material information in a way that creates a misleading impression.

10. BUSINESS VALUATION

If you state a valuation for your business, the valuation should have a reasonable basis.

You should not present an unsupported valuation as an established fact.

For example, instead of stating:

“My company is definitely worth $10 million.”

you should provide an appropriately qualified statement explaining the basis for the valuation.

Investors are responsible for independently evaluating the valuation and opportunity.

11. USE OF BUSINESS DOCUMENTS

Where the platform allows documents to be uploaded, documents must be genuine and must belong to the business or user who is authorized to use them.

You must not upload:

  • forged documents;
  • altered certificates;
  • fake financial statements;
  • fake contracts;
  • stolen documents;
  • another company's confidential documents;
  • documents obtained unlawfully; or
  • documents intended to deceive another user.

Damascus Projects may remove suspicious documents and may restrict or terminate accounts involved in document fraud.

12. LICENSES, REGISTRATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

If your business claims to hold a license, registration, certification, accreditation, permit, or government approval, the claim must be accurate.

Where applicable, you should provide sufficient information to allow the claim to be reasonably understood or verified.

You must not falsely claim that your business is:

  • government-approved;
  • government-owned;
  • government-backed;
  • licensed by a regulator;
  • accredited by an institution; or
  • endorsed by Damascus Projects.

13. GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC-INSTITUTION CLAIMS

You must not use the name, logo, emblem, seal, photograph, or branding of a government authority or public institution in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, authorization, partnership, or affiliation.

Government relationships must be described accurately.

14. USE OF BRAND NAMES AND LOGOS

You must have appropriate rights or authorization to use trademarks, logos, photographs, videos, documents, or other intellectual property included in your listing.

You must not imply that another company endorses, sponsors, owns, or partners with your business when this is not true.

15. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

Images and videos used in business listings must accurately represent the business, product, service, facility, project, or opportunity being presented.

You must not:

  • use stolen images;
  • use another business's photographs as your own;
  • deliberately manipulate images to misrepresent a product or facility;
  • use fake screenshots as evidence of performance;
  • use misleading before-and-after images;
  • present stock images as actual business facilities; or
  • materially alter an image in a way that deceives users.

Where an image is illustrative rather than an actual representation, it should be clearly identified as such.

16. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

AI-generated images, videos, voices, presentations, or other materials may be used where permitted, provided that they are not used to deceive users.

If an AI-generated image or video could reasonably be mistaken for an actual business facility, product, person, customer, transaction, or event, you should clearly identify it as illustrative or AI-generated.

You must never use artificial content to fabricate evidence of:

  • customers;
  • sales;
  • investors;
  • facilities;
  • employees;
  • contracts;
  • government approval;
  • business performance; or
  • completed transactions.

17. CUSTOMER AND PARTNER CLAIMS

If you state that your business has customers, partners, suppliers, distributors, investors, or institutional relationships, the claim must be genuine.

Do not use another organization's name merely to make your business appear more established.

Where the relationship is informal, proposed, under negotiation, or no longer active, describe it accurately.

18. STARTUPS AND BUSINESS IDEAS

Users may list legitimate business ideas and early-stage projects.

However, you must clearly distinguish between:

  • an existing business;
  • a business under development;
  • a proposed business;
  • a business idea; and
  • a projected future business.

Do not present an idea as an established business when it has not yet commenced operations.

19. BUSINESSES SEEKING PARTNERS

Businesses may seek:

  • investors;
  • strategic partners;
  • distributors;
  • suppliers;
  • co-founders;
  • franchise partners;
  • technology partners; or
  • other legitimate commercial relationships.

The listing must clearly explain what type of relationship is being sought.

20. JOBS AND RECRUITMENT

Business listings must not be used to conduct deceptive recruitment activities.

You must not:

  • advertise fake jobs;
  • request prohibited recruitment fees;
  • impersonate an employer;
  • guarantee employment in exchange for payment;
  • collect unnecessary sensitive information;
  • advertise employment that does not exist; or
  • use a business listing to facilitate human trafficking or exploitation.

Where a recruitment feature is separately offered, additional rules may apply.

21. VISA, IMMIGRATION AND RELOCATION CLAIMS

Business listings must not falsely promise:

  • visa approval;
  • immigration approval;
  • guaranteed employment abroad;
  • guaranteed relocation;
  • guaranteed permanent residence;
  • citizenship;
  • admission to an educational institution; or
  • immigration success.

Users must not falsely represent themselves as government immigration officials or authorized immigration representatives.

Damascus Projects' separate visa-financing program is governed by its own terms and does not turn ordinary business listings into immigration services.

22. PROHIBITED BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

Damascus Projects may prohibit or restrict listings involving businesses, products, services, or activities that are illegal, highly regulated, unsafe, fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise unsuitable for the platform.

This may include, depending on applicable law and platform policy:

  • fraudulent schemes;
  • pyramid or Ponzi schemes;
  • money laundering;
  • terrorist financing;
  • illegal gambling;
  • trafficking;
  • counterfeit goods;
  • stolen goods;
  • illegal drugs;
  • prohibited weapons;
  • exploitative activities;
  • fraudulent financial schemes;
  • unlawful investment schemes;
  • deceptive lending arrangements;
  • illegal financial services; and
  • other unlawful activities.

Additional restrictions may apply depending on the country in which the user or business operates.

23. PYRAMID AND PONZI SCHEMES

Listings must not promote pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, chain-referral fraud, or similar deceptive financial arrangements.

A business must not be presented as a legitimate investment opportunity where the primary mechanism depends on recruiting new participants rather than legitimate business activity.

24. PERSONAL FUNDRAISING

Personal fundraising, charitable fundraising, medical fundraising, emergency fundraising, or similar campaigns may be subject to separate rules.

Do not use a business listing to disguise a personal request for money.

25. CRYPTOCURRENCY AND DIGITAL ASSETS

Cryptocurrency, digital-asset, blockchain, or related listings may be subject to additional restrictions.

Users must comply with applicable laws and must not:

  • guarantee cryptocurrency profits;
  • misrepresent token values;
  • fabricate trading results;
  • promote fraudulent token offerings;
  • misrepresent regulatory approval; or
  • use the platform for unlawful financial activity.

Damascus Projects may restrict or remove such listings where necessary.

26. HIGH-RISK OR REGULATED BUSINESSES

Businesses operating in regulated industries must comply with all applicable legal requirements.

Depending on the jurisdiction, additional documentation or verification may be required for areas such as:

  • financial services;
  • healthcare;
  • pharmaceuticals;
  • insurance;
  • education;
  • transportation;
  • immigration;
  • recruitment;
  • real estate;
  • securities;
  • cryptocurrency;
  • gambling; or
  • other regulated activities.

Listing a business on Damascus Projects does not constitute regulatory approval.

27. REAL ESTATE LISTINGS

Where real estate listings are permitted, the listing must accurately state:

  • the nature of the property;
  • location;
  • ownership or authorization to list;
  • relevant property details; and
  • the nature of the proposed transaction.

Do not advertise property that you do not have authority to sell, lease, manage, or represent.

28. DUPLICATE LISTINGS

Do not create excessive duplicate listings for the same business, project, or opportunity for the purpose of increasing visibility or manipulating search results.

Damascus Projects may consolidate, restrict, or remove duplicate listings.

29. SPAM AND PLATFORM MANIPULATION

You must not manipulate the platform through:

  • repeated posting;
  • fake accounts;
  • artificial engagement;
  • automated activity intended to distort rankings;
  • fake investor interest;
  • fake comments;
  • coordinated reviews;
  • misleading titles;
  • keyword stuffing; or
  • other deceptive methods.

30. CONTACT INFORMATION

You may provide legitimate business contact information where permitted.

However, do not use listings to distribute:

  • passwords;
  • authentication codes;
  • payment-card information;
  • confidential financial credentials;
  • malware;
  • phishing links;
  • deceptive websites; or
  • other information designed to compromise users.

Damascus Projects may restrict external links for safety or moderation reasons.

31. USER PRIVACY

Do not publish another person's private information without lawful authorization.

This includes:

  • private phone numbers;
  • private email addresses;
  • residential addresses;
  • identification documents;
  • financial information;
  • passwords;
  • private correspondence; or
  • other sensitive personal information.

Business contact information may be published where appropriate and lawful.

32. CONTENT MUST BE LAWFUL

Every listing must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

You are responsible for determining whether your business, product, service, fundraising activity, investment proposal, or transaction is legally permitted.

Damascus Projects does not provide legal, tax, investment, accounting, immigration, or regulatory advice merely by allowing a listing to appear on the platform.

33. NO DAMASCUS PROJECTS ENDORSEMENT

The publication of a business listing does not mean that Damascus Projects:

  • endorses the business;
  • recommends the business;
  • guarantees the business;
  • verifies every statement made by the business;
  • guarantees the business owner's identity;
  • guarantees profitability;
  • guarantees investment;
  • guarantees repayment;
  • guarantees the legitimacy of every opportunity; or
  • accepts responsibility for the user's independent transaction.

Where Damascus Projects has verified specific information, any verification should be understood only within the scope expressly stated.

34. VERIFICATION

Damascus Projects may introduce verification procedures for businesses, investors, documents, identities, or other information.

Verification may include checking information supplied by users or information available from legitimate sources.

However, verification does not constitute a guarantee that a business is financially successful, profitable, legitimate in every respect, or suitable for investment.

A verification badge or similar indicator should not be interpreted as an investment recommendation.

35. DUE DILIGENCE

Investors and other users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into a transaction.

Depending on the opportunity, appropriate due diligence may include reviewing:

  • company registration;
  • ownership;
  • financial records;
  • contracts;
  • licenses;
  • intellectual property;
  • tax obligations;
  • debts;
  • litigation;
  • market conditions;
  • business performance;
  • management;
  • valuation; and
  • other relevant information.

Damascus Projects encourages users to obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.

36. INVESTOR CONFIDENTIALITY

Business owners should avoid publishing confidential trade secrets or sensitive information that they do not intend to disclose publicly.

Investors and other users must also respect confidential information obtained through the platform.

Where a business requires confidentiality before disclosing sensitive information, the parties should consider an appropriate confidentiality agreement.

37. BUSINESS LISTINGS ARE NOT INVESTMENT OFFERS BY DAMASCUS PROJECTS

A business listing appearing on Damascus Projects should not be interpreted as an investment offer made by Damascus Projects.

Any investment, partnership, financing, purchase, sale, or other transaction is subject to the terms agreed between the relevant parties and applicable law.

38. FEES AND PROMOTIONAL PLACEMENT

If Damascus Projects offers paid promotional placement, featured listings, advertising, or increased visibility, payment for such placement does not guarantee:

  • investment;
  • business success;
  • investor interest;
  • sales;
  • leads;
  • partnerships; or
  • any particular outcome.

Paid placement does not necessarily mean that Damascus Projects endorses the listed business.

39. LISTING REVIEW AND MODERATION

Damascus Projects may review listings before or after publication.

We may:

  • approve a listing;
  • request additional information;
  • request verification;
  • restrict visibility;
  • edit certain formatting or metadata;
  • remove a listing;
  • suspend a listing;
  • suspend an account; or
  • terminate an account.

We may take these actions where we reasonably believe that a listing violates these Rules, another Damascus Projects policy, applicable law, or the safety or rights of users.

40. EMERGENCY REMOVAL

Damascus Projects may remove or restrict a listing without prior notice where necessary to address:

  • suspected fraud;
  • immediate safety concerns;
  • illegal activity;
  • serious deception;
  • security threats;
  • impersonation;
  • regulatory concerns; or
  • other circumstances requiring urgent action.

41. APPEALS

If you believe your listing was incorrectly removed, restricted, or suspended, you may contact Damascus Projects through the applicable support or appeals channel.

You should provide:

  • the account information necessary to identify the listing;
  • the relevant listing information; and
  • an explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.

Damascus Projects may review the appeal and may request additional information.

42. REPEATED VIOLATIONS

Repeated violations of these Rules may result in progressively stronger enforcement measures.

These may include:

  • warning;
  • content correction request;
  • reduced visibility;
  • listing removal;
  • temporary account restriction;
  • suspension; or
  • permanent account termination.

Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.

43. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND REGULATORY AUTHORITIES

Where required or legally permitted, Damascus Projects may cooperate with appropriate law-enforcement, regulatory, judicial, or other competent authorities.

This may include responding to lawful requests concerning suspected fraud, unlawful activity, threats to safety, or other legal matters.

44. REPORTING A SUSPICIOUS LISTING

If you believe that a listing contains:

  • false information;
  • fraudulent claims;
  • impersonation;
  • fake documents;
  • suspicious investment promises;
  • unlawful activity;
  • stolen intellectual property;
  • misleading financial information; or
  • another violation of these Rules,

you should report it using the reporting tools provided by Damascus Projects.

Do not attempt to investigate or confront a potentially dangerous person yourself.

45. BUSINESS OWNER'S REPRESENTATIONS

By publishing a listing, you confirm that:

  • the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • you have the right to publish the listing;
  • you have not intentionally omitted material information in order to deceive users;
  • your business and proposed activities comply with applicable law;
  • documents and materials you provide are genuine and lawfully obtained;
  • you will update materially inaccurate information;
  • you will not use the platform for fraud or deception; and
  • you will comply with these Rules and all other applicable Damascus Projects policies.

46. DAMASCUS PROJECTS' ROLE

Damascus Projects provides technology and services intended to facilitate introductions between users.

Our role does not automatically include:

  • independently auditing every business;
  • guaranteeing business claims;
  • guaranteeing investment;
  • negotiating every transaction;
  • providing financial advice;
  • providing legal advice;
  • providing immigration advice;
  • providing tax advice;
  • guaranteeing user identity; or
  • guaranteeing the success of a business opportunity.

Users remain responsible for making their own informed decisions.

47. CHANGES TO THESE RULES

Damascus Projects may update these Business Listing Rules from time to time.

Changes may be made to reflect:

  • new platform features;
  • changes in law;
  • changes in business operations;
  • emerging fraud risks;
  • technological developments;
  • user-safety requirements; or
  • other legitimate reasons.

The updated version will become effective on the date stated in the revised Rules.

49. FINAL NOTICE TO BUSINESS OWNERS

Damascus Projects provides you with an opportunity to become more visible and reachable to potential investors and business connections.

Do not use that opportunity to exaggerate, fabricate, or misrepresent your business.

A strong business presentation should be based on facts.

Tell potential investors:

  • what your business does;
  • what problem it solves;
  • who your customers are;
  • what you have achieved;
  • what you need;
  • what you are offering;
  • what risks exist; and
  • how the proposed transaction would work.

The purpose of Damascus Projects is to create connections—not to manufacture credibility.

Your listing is your representation of your business. Make it truthful, clear, and professional.
